Due to the closure (controlled access only) of Hickson Road, residents in Millers Point will need to make an adjustment to the way in which they travel until Saturday 19 July at 11pm.

The following directions indicate the turns to make, with a map provided here.

The directions are as follows:

Leaving Millers Point from Hickson Road and Towns Place:

o                    Take Hickson Road

o                    Turn into Pottinger Street

o                    Turn left into Windmill Street

o                    Turn left into Lower Fort Street

o                    Turn right into Cumberland Street

o                    drive past Bridgeclimb

o                    Turn left into Essex Street

o                    Turn right into Harrington

o                    Drive straight across Lang Street

o                    Take York Street southbound, Jamison Street to Clarence Street for Harbour Bridge access or Kent Street access.

Getting into Millers Point - Hickson Road and Towns Place

o                    Head northbound on Clarence Street

o                    Turn right into Jamison Street

o                    Continue straight ahead into Lang Street

o                    Continue straight ahead into Harrington Street

o                    Turn left into Essex Street

o                    Turn right into Cumberland Street

o                    Drive past Bridgeclimb

o                    Turn left into Lower Fort Street

o                    Turn right into Windmill Street

o                    Turn right into Pottinger Street to access Hickson Road.

Leaving Millers Point - Merriman Street, Rodens Lane Bettington Street:

o        Follow Bettington Street to Argyle

o        Turn right onto Kent Street

Getting to Millers Point - Merriman Street, Rodens Lane, Bettington Street:

o        Drive on Kent Street northbound to Argyle Street

o        Turn left into Argyle Street and follow onto Bettington Street

Access into Argyle Street for local residents and businesses:

o          Head northbound on Clarence Street

o          Turn right into Jamison Street

o          Continue straight ahead into Lang Street

o          Continue straight along Harrington Street until you reach Argyle Street

o          Turn left onto Argyle Street

o          Turn left onto King Street to access Hickson Road

Leaving Argyle Street

o                    Go west on Argyle St until you reach Kent Street

o                    Turn left on Kent Street
