WYDCA will keep local residents advised of road closures, special event clearways, or other World Youth Day activities that may affect them. Check this website or the RTA website for latest information about road changes.

Special resident parking and access schemes will be in place near some WYD08 venues. Details on these schemes have been provided to affected residents via letterbox drops.  

Residents affected by changed traffic and public transport arrangements wil be advised by letterbox drops, public announcements, local media and via this website.

All reasonable effort will be made to minimise disruption to those people living around major WYD08 events.

The six-day festival will be taking place during school holidays and participants are being asked to use public transport outside peak hours so that those people not taking part can have ready access to their regular services.
